Liquid & Oil-Filled HPMC Capsules
Oils and oil suspensions sealed inside band-sealed HPMC hard capsules — a vegan alternative to gelatin softgels.
Liquid-filled hard capsules put an oil, an oil-based suspension or a semi-solid fill inside a two-piece HPMC shell. A sealing band is then applied around the joint so the capsule cannot leak. The result does the job of a softgel but uses an entirely plant-based shell, which suits vegan omega, hemp seed oil, vitamin E and MCT products.
Liquid fills need more preparation than powders. We check that the fill is compatible with the shell, set its viscosity so it doses cleanly, and test the sealed capsules for leaks before release. Clear shells show off a golden oil; opaque shells protect light-sensitive fills.
